FLAMENCO dance, opera, comedy, music,
classical guitar, the ancient art of taiko
drumming, dance and song, cutting edge
indigenous theatre, rap, hip hop, percussion and
more. It's going to be an exciting year of
entertainment at Redland Performing Arts Centre
Launching the 2010 season today,RPAC manager
Lisa Trevellick said the performance season
featured some of Australia's finest performers, who
are acclaimed both in Australia and around the

The season launch heralds the opening of
subscription ticket sales. Patrons will have the
opportunity to choose five or more performances
from the season and make substantial savings on
individual ticket prices.
Opening in March will be the smash hit comedy
Joan Sydney heads up a fine cast about a trio of
hard-working cleaners facing the axe. They might
be past their best,beyond their sell-by date and over
the hill, but they certainly won't take threats of
redundancy lying down.
On April 23, internationally acclaimed guitarist
Karin Schaupp and the Flinders Quartet will come
together in a dazzling collaboration from five of
Australia's finest musicians, in Fandango with
Next up, on May 26, is a beautiful presentation of
the music of Mario Lanza and Kathryn Grayson, with
Mario Lanza -- the Loveliest Night of theYear,featuring
Roger Lemke and Annalisa Kerrigan.
In June comes I Don't Wanna Play House -- a
gripping and ultimately celebratory one-woman-
show featuring acclaimed Indigenous performer,
Coming in July is Shorter+Sweeter -- the biggest
little play festival in the world.

Written by Australia's hottest writers, presented
by our finest directors and starring a talented cast of
brilliant actors,this 10-minute play formula is bound
to please every taste and features some of Australia's

Australia's only national flamenco company,
Flamenco Fire, is also coming in September with its
heady mix of traditional and contemporary
flamenco music,dance and song.
Rounding off the season in October is a stunning
production from TaikOz, with Blessings of the Earth,
featuring Riley Lee, shakuhachi.
Blessings of the Earth features the full range of
TaikOz's dynamic taiko drums -- including the
250kgs ôdaiko grand drum.
