Not quite happy with
your jewellery look?
Do you have yellow gold jewellery but
wonder how you could get that white
metal look that is so in?
I'm Stephen's wife and I do. I recently made a
jewellery plan with one of our designers and it
I found there were lots of alternatives to get
the "look" that I really wanted and the designer
helped me figure out what that look was.
I now have a jewellery plan. The plan means
that I will save up for what I really want and not
compromise or waste money.
It also means that I won't fall victim to impulse
I took all my jewellery in and in my jewellery
plan I'm re-using stones and gold from jewellery
I don't wear.
It will be made into a piece of my dream
jewellery in the future. Because I can re-cycle my
gold, I only needed to add a little gold hence the
main cost will be just the labour.
The jewellery I still wear and really love will
have some modifications to incorporate
This means I will get the two-tone look (yellow
& white metals) so I can wear some of the trendy,
inexpensive, silver pieces that we stock and I like
so much. Some of the alternatives I had included:
• changing the central setting to white gold
• adding white gold rails (down the side of
• adding pavé diamonds (set in white gold) rails
• changing the yellow gold ring band for a
white gold band.
As part of the plan we discussed the "cost per
use"principle where you pay more for things you
wear everyday, that bring us joy everyday, than
"fashion"peices worn occasionally.
I really found making a jewellery plan
empowering so watch out darling husband I've
got a plan!
I'd encourage you to come in with all your
jewellery and make a no obligation, no cost
jewellery plan with one of our jewellery
Let's face it, flying economy sucks. Just
once it would be nice to turn left when
getting on the plane instead of right.
The days of half-full planes with seats a-
plenty on which to stretch out are long gone,
and airlines now know people are prepared
to spend cash or points in exchange for
But if you don't want to part with miles or
money, you need to be nice,be patient and do
your research for a free upgrade.
Of course, it helps if you are famous or
important - airlines like celebs in their posh
Dress smartly at check in, don't travel with
children or lunatics, and be polite and friendly
at all times.
Check-in staff won't have the authority to
issue an upgrade, but might be able to add
a code to your boarding pass that will flag
you as eligible for an upgrade when you
reach the gate. If you know anyone at the
airline, exploit those connections, too.
If the flight is overbooked, volunteer to be
bumped, which could get you moved up.
Once on-board, check your seat.
If there is a problem with it or your inflight
entertainment equipment, or you are seated
next to a lunatic, an upgrade could be yours.
Goodbye plastic, hello real forks.
